Saying Xenoblade is like FF12 is like saying T-model ford is the same as Lamborghini Murcielago. Yes they are both cars, but that is pretty much were the similarities end.

2 questions Foolz

What did you hate about FF XII?

And why don't have Xenoblade yet?

Nice to see this thread after so long, so far i am agreeing with leo.

I had tor respond to this post years later, no Iga, FFXII is better than Xenoblade. Why I dont remember but it is.

Save file got deleted near the end, so yeah. I still mean to give it another go. Did you even play FFXII?

Ah man that sucks! Could you not get a save file from the internet?

Good luck with playing it again.

No, I did not play FF12, yet. I think 12 would be the FF that I would enjoy the most though.

But what I have seen and read from the game, the similarties between FF12 and XB are only superficial. And XB has Dunban while 12 has girly boy Vaan. So XB auto wins.

Oh in story Xenoblade blows it away. I enjoyed the combat and whole leveling system in FF more though. I really need to play it again though, it was the first game of its kind that i played so i was like WOW! To be honest Xenoblade does everything FFXII did better except the combat system, at least to me.

And yeah I could get one online, actually ragnar from GS gave me his file which was about the same location I left off but its not the same. Like 40 hours building my team, my characters a certain way, doing side quests in the order I like. Its just not the same.

That sucks. It'd definitely be weird playing someone else's save.

Yeah, but at least you get to see the ending.

About the battles in Xenoblade it is pretty fun, when you fight stronger monsters. I have created a killer team, but even I have not scratched the surface of the combat. Changing up team, will really change the tactics. Each character really plays totally differently. There are also advanced techniques, there is a video floating around where a team of three naked level 40 characters beat the shit out of a level 99 T-rex. My battle strategy is do dish out damage as fast as possible while Dunban avoids all attacks, but stuff like changing the status effect and status ailments are way out of my league.

I loved the final battle!

But what was up with the music at the end, its a full on R&B pop song while actions of a totally different tone is happening. It was so poorly done, wtf.

I thought of a cool spin-off game for Chrono Trigger: Porno Trigger. You jump through different eras in time to fuck hot bitches.

^ Yes please.

So I played the Lightning DLC it is so weird. Its one figh against Cauis you play as Lightning and the way the game plays is different. You have no teamates so instead you get different classes, up to six of them to switch through. At first you start at level 1 so you have only three classes and are a weakling, so the boss WILL beat you. To level up you cant fight weak monsters, instead you are supposed to lose to Cauis over and over and level up that way. You slowly build up your levels until you have all skills and become very powerful. As you can clearly see this system is stupid. They have an option to lower your level just in case you want a challenge which you can compete against leaderboards.

So after like 30 minutes of pointless fighting you have the skills to really stand a chance. Here is where the DLC shines, they way the combat plays out in one on one fighting almost feels like a fighting game. Lightning has no healing powers at all, but has skills in all other classes. If she goes into sentinel she can block ANYTHING, but you have to activate her block power. Fights end up being a super fast paced switching between classes, canceling out long strings of qued up powers to quickly get into your animation before the attack lands.

If you think about it, this sounds like another game... yes this is the precursor to Lightning Returns real time combat! Yay I am using Leo small font! I love it when he does that! This is fun.

Once you 5 star Caius you get to fight his second form which is Bahamut, once again a very thrilling fight. If you 5 star that fight you unlock Lightning as a third member, she is a commando.

Oh and the story is comeplete shit and makes no sense. At least it was $2 so just having Lightning on my team was worth it.
